It seems like just yesterday that I was fooling around with a couple of white drums that I picked up from an industrial company, wondering what the heck I was going to do with them. I believe my original plan was to cut the tops out and place them in my garage to store tools. The plan failed when I forgot about them (having cut the tops off and putting them out in the back yard) and went out to move them, months later. Ofcourse they were all full of rain water. So eventually they became empty once again but they never found their way into that garage. I believe a neighbor came by one time and made a suggestion about decorating them somehow to give them a more pleasing look. I agreed, something needed to be done. Anyway that's how it all started. If you want to learn more, go check out "the rest of the story" on my website.
I want to openly thank all the customers and other people that came by with comments and questions about one thing or another over the years, because if were not for those, I probably would not have half the products that I have now! One of the questions was asking about how to funnel the water away from the house. People were having trouble with rain water leaking into their basements. I thought hard about this and came up with what I call the "Stormwater Manager". It's actually a device that is made in Colorado that I retro fitted for NW weather. There is a page on my website about it, as well as a display in front of my shop.
